Bi-National Chicago Institute

The Center for the Human Rights of Children (CHRC) along with Loyola University’s Corboy Law Center, School of Social Work, and Department of Anthropology will be hosting the Bi-National Chicago Institute from August 1st through 10th. The Bi-National Chicago Institute was developed to provide students from Loyola University Chicago, ITESCO Universidad, and Universidad Iberoamerica, educational, professional, and experiential learning opportunities addressing the experience of migrant children and families in the United States. Moreover, the institute aims to develop foundational knowledge on legal, health, and human service issues affecting migrants in the Central and North American region, and to promote collaboration across borders that facilitate transnational work and research to promote the human rights of migrant families and children.

Program Agenda

Faculty, Staff, and Students will meet at the Corboy Law Center 25 E. Pearson St, room 207 unless otherwise stated. Lunch and Refreshments will be provided at Corboy Law Center August 6-9. Participants are responsible for remaining meals and transportation to/from site visits. Optional Outings: Transportation and food expenses will be the responsibility of the participants
